As heard on Glenn Beck
“In his famous Farewell Address, President Eisenhower warned about allowing public policy to become captive to a scientific elite without regard to the principles of our constitutional system and the goals of a free society. Eisenhower was prescient. During the COVID crisis, states like New York that embraced unadulterated Faucism saw poor results across the board, while states that pursued an Eisenhower-style approach like Florida protected freedom and performed better in education, economy and health outcomes. Executives are elected to lead and make tough decisions, and such leadership cannot be outsourced to health bureaucrats like Fauci.” (Florida Governor Ron DeSantis)
“In this important book the authors do the job our uninquisitive media has failed to do throughout this ordeal. Confirming with cited and sourced details the enemy of both liberty and logic the lockdowns have proven to be. Which also proves too much power in the hands of an unelected bureaucrat, regardless of his intentions, can no longer be our new normal.” (US Senator Rand Paul [R-KY])
Can liberty survive in the hands of one all-powerful, unchallenged, and unelected bureaucrat?
It wasn’t too long ago that the average American didn’t know who Anthony Fauci was. Now, after the coronavirus has spread nationwide, he’s arguably the most powerful bureaucrat in American history. But is it dangerous for a free society to concentrate so much power in the hands of an unelected official? Who or what holds Fauci accountable?

fauci is a scientist, he takes time out of his day to do interviews and stuff… what this assumes is that he’s actually some all-powerful super being?
April 8th, 2021
Tento2, Wow, you sure listened to that quick!
But seriously, how could somebody be sooo naive and yet still think their opinion is worth sharing?

Everybody knows wordplay automatically makes an argument valid.

“Arguably the most powerful bureaucrat in American history” not a chance he is more a more powerful unelected bureaucrat than Kissinger or Greenspan or Rumsfeld. Kissinger undermined Johnson’s peace talks to come to the exact same outcome as he and Nixon came to at the cost of millions of lives. Greenspan ran the Fed for how many years? 19? And left office right before the 2008 meltdown. Rumsfeld? Also millions of lives lost due to the lies that got us into Iraq.
Nice try.

Best thing about this book is its publication date.
You can practically smell the money burnt to produce and market it - never to be recovered.
Yet it will hang around authors’ necks forever.
It’s like poetry.

That was just off the top of my head…what about the Dulles brothers? Or what about Harry Dexter White & Henry Morgenthau, Jr., who took us off the gold standard and established fiat currency? Really, Fauci did more to change public policy than any of them in little more than a year? How about Kermit Roosevelt’s actions in Iran? We’ve been dealing with that debacle since 1953.

@andy: Come on, Deace was able to string enough words together to come up with an audio book that almost makes three hours. He surely spent literal minutes researching this book. I’m sure that I’ll learn something in the 90 minutes it takes me to listen to it at 2X…
Clearly the 13.3 hours on Bretton Woods was far too much in https://audiobookbay.lu/audio-books/the-summit-bretton-woods-1944-j-m-keynes-and-the-reshaping-of-the-global-economy-conway-ed/ also about unelected bureaucrats and—in this case—their long-term effect on the global monetary system.
It’s just fast food for people too stupid to think but just smart enough to keep shoveling food in their mouth while they watch FOX.

Nixon and Kissinger clocks in at a svelte 34.5 hours… what’s 34.5/1.5 besides not worth calculating? 23 times!
To be fair to Deace, the only book I think I read on Ike was https://audiobookbay.lu/audio-books/the-age-of-eisenhower-america-and-the-world-in-the-1950s-2018-hitchcock-william-i/ which clocks in at 25.66 hours. Though I’m pretty sure I also read his son’s Going Home to Glory. Great he can condense Ike down to a soundbite.
April 8th, 2021
The most powerful… ? Seriously? The dude is simply advising people to wear masks and wash their hands. It is not as if he is advising anyone what to do with North Korea or Iran, or raise taxes, or what you do with your guns. Get a grip.
April 8th, 2021
He also said said that there was no evidence that hydroxychloquine, injecting bleach or UV light (?!) helped with COVID-19 contradicting the dear leader. Those were his real faults!
April 8th, 2021
Another indirect anti-vax book?
People on this website are generally much more intelligent than wacked out right-wingers.
April 8th, 2021
@vslee1974 Oh there are plenty of wacked out right-wingers, they just don’t think of themselves as wacked out right-wingers.
April 8th, 2021
Honestly, pandemics, contagious viruses are not new concepts. Yet it’s so hard to convince these people to do the right thing.
April 8th, 2021
Pwned by Ron Watkins.
That must sting.
April 8th, 2021
Wow. What a lunatic premise.
It’s the executive branch federally and state governors who can actually give orders.
Fauci has no power at all outside the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He just gives advice to the president, which Trump ignored, and now a half million are needlessly dead as a result.
If only Fauci had spiked Trump’s coke with ricin…
April 8th, 2021
Not the most powerful Bureaucrat, but a lot more powerful than this (neocon limited hangout) book will honestly describe, or most Rockefeller-liberal normies will even entertain. George H.W. Bush called him a ‘Personal Hero’- says a lot. And Kerry Mullis, Nobel Prize Winning creator of the PCR test, said ‘these guys like Fauci, they’re corrupt, power hungry, will say or do anything to get ahead.’ On the nose, there. I’m not sure he’s a bureaucrat like Kissinger, but since Klaus Schwab is a Kissinger protege, the Kissinger regime wouldn’t have its medical mafia power without the corrupt Jesuit Fauci in play, who has occupied a unique around HIV/AIDS, just like his father, which just gets even more weird when you look into it. With these books- look up ‘Lab 257′ on here- that’s your virus book. A lot of great work on CV etc here if you take the time, with reading material referenced

Ike actually warned against the power and proclivities of the Military-Industrial complex.
April 8th, 2021
Having just finished listening to some Warhammer 40k, I imagine these authors as a pair of Ork Boyz with waaaay too much time on their hands…
April 8th, 2021
So Kary Banks Mullis (December 28, 1944 – August 7, 2019) was an American biochemist who what, predicted the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak and that Fauci would play a leading role before his death and before the outbreak happened? Wow, give him another Nobel (speaking of a bunch of unelected bureaucrats, lol). Good one.
April 8th, 2021
I genuinely feel sorry for the people who give this tripe the time of day. No better than flat-earthers.
April 8th, 2021
This is actually ridiculous. It beggars belief. I mean. Jesus CHRIST you’ve got to have rocks for lobes to take this as anything beyond the ravings of a cultist.
April 8th, 2021
Never understood why he had so much influence.
His was one opinion which led a nation to Draconian edicts unnecessarily. I can’t believe that anyone takes what the msm spews out seriously. Same for Dr. Faux-Cheat.
Steve Deace’s detailed analysis of the COVID data for the past year hs been excellent.
But then again, Facts never mattered to the mindless drones
April 8th, 2021
Masks don’t do anything for you. They are just for show.
Hold on…we were just joking. You actually do need to wear a mask. It should be mandatory. In fact… you should wear two or three masks.
Trump should have fired this guy. He is a joke.
April 8th, 2021
I read the blurb twice to make sure it was saying what I thought it couldn’t be saying. But it was.
For those of you bewildered as to why Fauci got so much influence (really, heightened appreciation), it’s fairly straightforward: we were starved of sanity, basic human decency and goodwill at the pinnacles of government. Any good, sound mind in the rapacious wildness would do …
April 8th, 2021
The fact that the 2 quotes in the preface to the book were from two of the lamest politicos in the country doesn’t say much for the rest of it.
April 8th, 2021
Well Jeez, who to trust? A sports commentator and radio talk show host or one of the leading infectious disease experts in the world and science advisor to every president since Reagan? That’s a tough call.
April 8th, 2021
The fact that some pudding-head put this in the Political section is the problem.
Fauci is not a Bureaucrat. He’s a scientist.
If you take your medical advice from the likes of Rand Paul, I liken you to a 14th century peasant.
The fact that the Hillbilly Rand Paul is even quoted in this book is proof of the moral/intellectual collapse of the GOP.
April 9th, 2021
Morbidly OBESE Steve Deace is definitely your go to guy on health issues - MOO MOO MOO.
The American righty-whitey. A soon to be extinct beast that no one will, miss.
The closer to extinction they get the louder they yell out their ridiculous victim narrative.
The world rejects your primitive, claustrophobic, authoritarian (brown nosers wet dream) ideology which is based on your primitive, claustrophobic, authoritarian religion with your psycho loser god & his saviour on a stick son.
The American righty-whitey pimps the most toxic ideology in history.
Nobody wants you around, nor do they want to listen to your climate denial, evolution denial, limits to growth denial & all around science denial of anything that gets within 5 feet of contradicting your warped dogma.
If you don’t want to wear a mask or get yourselves & your spawn vaccinated then you should get the hell out of the country. You don’t belong. In fact, your bad attitude & poor behaviour are putting others & the country as a whole at risk. That makes y’all treasonous criminals.
April 9th, 2021
The funny thing about leftists is that they never engage with an argument, they just fling mud at the other person.
This tells you the real truth which is that they have nothing of value to say on the subject at all.
They welcome a fat man in a dress as national health adviser, for example, while telling you a fat man can’t write about Fauci.
This is because nothing they do makes sense whatsoever.
Fauci is not a scientist, he is an administrator and by direct observation, he is also a liar and an incompetent.
If your feelings can’t handle these facts, you need to spend some time examining yourself, rather than flinging more mud at others.
April 9th, 2021
@GordonCoon
“the funny thing about leftists is that they never engage with an argument, they just fling mud at the other person.”
And follows that up with a string of ad hominem attacks.
The very unfunny thing about American “rightists” is that they never engage with facts at all, they dismiss any they don’t like as “fake news” and insist some fantasy conspiracy they saw on Facebook or Fox news is true, regardless of the real world.
Who did the right “welcome” as a medical adviser?
Dr Stella “demon spawn” Immanuel.
Mike “MyPillow” Lindell.
April 9th, 2021
(grabs popcorn)
I love hearing about public health orders being called “draconian measures”.
Seriously, I guess people who believe wearing a mask and washing hands, and limiting gatherings, or being asked to stay at home to limit the spread, are draconian need to catch the virus themselves, or see a loved one die from it. Then let’s hear about how draconian they are…
I guess being asked to stay healthy is “unamerican”…
April 10th, 2021
Nobody is being forced to go out in public. If you’re afraid of this virus, you are welcome to stay home or wear a mask.
Whitewolf, I have had the virus and I do have a relative who died a few weeks after taking the vaccine. Why should I wear a mask if I already had the virus?
I have a black friend who is struggling to pull himself up by his metaphorical bootstraps, who joined the army as a means of attending college, he is being expelled for the rest of the year because someone reported that he was out in public without a mask. That is completely unacceptable.
My grandfather had the virus and the vaccine, and he is being compelled to wear a mask. Why? So he can make you feel better. Get over yourself. If you’re afraid, stay home.
April 10th, 2021
Dr Fauci making a personal fortune from his medical advice. Conflict of interest seems to go over peoples heads these days.
April 11th, 2021
iconoclasthero if you look at the pandemic from the point of view to lasting most likely irreversible subversion of our constitutional rights, then you could make that argument. People that see covid from the point of view that its a trial run for a social credit system and the like… then yes, one could say he’s done more damage from the point of view. Greenspan sucked, he kept our economy on the tipping point to where it only benefitted the rich by keeping IRs so low. Kissenger, terrible terrible foreign policy. Poverty kills people, Wars kill people, Communism kills people. Just as bad if you prescribe to that line when it comes to vaccine passports, stay at home orders, relief plans in the trillions of dollars. Some say its to crash the system so something else can be built. If so, Dr. F played a pretty big role in the back and forth of bad information with all his waffling. He’s very political. No matter what field you are in, at that level your a politician. I could be a mechanic, but if I am the advisor to the president about fixing cars, you really think I’m turning wrenches at night? No, and Fauci isn’t leaving the press room to go down into the basement of the Whitehouse to do research. He’s a limelight loving politician just like Trump, Kamala, and Hillary.
April 13th, 2021
@wheresmycannon
“People that see covid from the point of view that its a trial run for a social credit system … Some say its to crash the system so something else can be built.”
Tin foil hat loonies.
Covid is virus that has killed 3 million worldwide so far. The more you nutjobs pretend it’s a conspiracy, and ignore all safety measures, the more it will kill.
April 13th, 2021
“states that pursued an Eisenhower-style approach like Florida protected freedom and performed better in education, economy and health outcomes. ”
lol, what?
April 16th, 2021
“The more you nutjobs pretend it’s a conspiracy, and ignore all safety measures, the more it will kill.”
Yeah, I never said I did. Thanks though. Shows how capable you are at forming a decent argument.
April 16th, 2021
@wheresmycannon
OK. Your list of insane conspiracies by Fauci gives the impression that you discount all his medical advice. So apparently you are following his advice, but nevertheless believe that he is a tool of the international Zionist lizard people cabal who want you to bake gay wedding cakes and stop eating hamburgers.
Certainly most of the Magas think that wearing a mask is for pansies and vaccines will make you vote socialist. Or something.
A half million Americans are dead because Trump thought that he could just shout Fauci down and pretend it was all a hoax.
April 16th, 2021
Yeah, but its a bit unfair AND impractical to level all of that at Trumps feet don’t you think?
April 18th, 2021
@wheresmycannon
No. The US has the worst death rate in the world from Covid. (Maybe Brazil is catching up.)
90% due to Trump deciding that it was something he could ignore. Though he was incapable of organising a response if he’d tried. His only skill is division. Even Pence would have done a better job.
Birx said the first 100,000 deaths were unavoidable, the rest could have been prevented with rational government action.
https://www.businessinsider.com.au/dr-deborah-birx-thousands-of-us-covid-19-deaths-preventable-2021-3
She was too gutless to speak up when working for Trump, but now the RW nutjobs are attacking her too.
This is not a lot different to how Reagan “managed” AIDS. he ignored it as he thought it only affected blacks and gays. Millions died before the US govt started taking it seriously.
April 23rd, 2021
Absolutely hilarious how RWNJs are twisting themselves into knots over science. I’m enjoying it all.
May 4th, 2021
@GordonCoon
Perhaps the reason the left rarely engages with your “Argument” is that you have none.
July 10th, 2021
Why in the world do we not allowed to add GIFs to the comments.
September 11th, 2021
Fauci has proven to be the penultimate Liar, a political snake and threat to American Freedoms. Let’s hope that Congress has hearings to ferret out his lies, his involvement with the production of the Wuhan, China Virus, how he profited, and punish him accordingly.
December 10th, 2021
look up the definition of penultimate
March 24th, 2022
Fauci, not a bureaucrat? He gets his checks from the United States. He was appointed, not elected. So, yes he’s a bureaucrat.
It’s hard to believe some of the people have ever picked up a book.
April 11th, 2022
Not sure what Eisenhower’s medical career was like. He’s certainly not particularly famous in that field.
As to Flaweder performing best in anything other than stupidity, I assume this is comedy?
July 2nd, 2023
Wingnuts are so predictable. What’s it like to go through life as a boring, one note Johnny? Sounds like a living hell to me.
