how is this only 129mb? is this even the entire book?

The difference between 32kbs and 64kbs. Many audiobooka are shared at 64. I use 32 and here’s why. I know a soundguy and he said that since the sample rate is the same 22khz (what both 64 and 32 normally use) the sound quality is actually the same for audio recordings because voices (vocals) are around the 1 kilo-hertz range. When you change from 64 to 32…you’re removing high and low frequencies from the ends of the scale that are far away from the vocals and you don’t need those for audiobooks.
Here is a page that lets you play music at different bit rates. Then you can decide is you think 64 is worth TWICE the size. I don’t and I’m awesome! lol

Thank you for this, don’t know how I missed it.
I also appreciate the lower bitrate allowing for the smaller file size.
I completely agree that 99% audiobooks should never be more than 64k and the 128’s just take up more space and download time, as a matter of fact this finished downloading before I finished my thanks. lol
