This has to be the worst book Larson has written. I was quite let down.

Ok so I really enjoyed Larson’s books, but he has gotten ridiculously formulaic to the point all of his characters across all his different IP’s are just variations on each other. His men are all super capable beefcakes with occasionally horrible decision making skills. His women are all screeching harpies that can’t resist the beefcake MC while simultaneously hating him but wanting to be bent over the nearest piece of furniture by him etc. His antagonists are all boring one not 2 dimensional mustache twirlers with myopically evil points of view that aren’t even enjoyable to see lose.
I own all of his Undying Mercenary series and most of his others, but the last three (this book and the other one about the miner turned marine series) I’ve downloaded here, and I gotta say I’m just glad I didn’t pay for them because they arne’t worth it.
As for Boyett, dude, get some new voices. Tom Taylorson is putting you to shame.
